Job Summary

Supports the development of new health care products, technologies, and software applications. Evaluates ideas to determine highest impact opportunities. Develops and executes business plans for advancing promising products and technologies. Engages Spectrum Health staff members and community partners for the evaluation and advancement of product ideas. Supports numerous projects and ideas concurrently with relevant team members.

Essential Functions

  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently with high degrees of ambiguity, leveraging internal and external resources.

  • Ability to plan, coordinate and facilitate group discussions with varied stakeholders to solicit feedback and new ideas pertaining to new product development efforts.

  • Ability to analyze opportunities, understand diverse markets, business models, value streams and supply chains to determine the optimal plans for commercial success.

  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and develop alternative solutions.

  • Ability to develop project plans, prioritize within the portfolio of projects and complete projects on time.

  • Ability to make group presentations and cope with stressful situations and maintain a calm and professional demeanor.

  • Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Time management and organizational skills. Self directed. Ability to make quality, independent decisions. Analytical and strong problem solving skills. Ability to work effectively and efficiently under tight deadlines, high volumes and multiple interruptions. Ability to maintain the strictest levels of confidentiality. Ability to listen to others. Competency in the use of a variety of computer hardware and software systems.

Qualifications
    • Required Bachelor's Degree
    • 1 year of relevant experience Experience working with early-stage businesses, engineering, or product development Required

    • Demonstrated experience as part of a start-up business team Preferred
