Position Summary:

This role will be working to drive analysis and support for Claro Insurance Program, propelling your insurance career by giving you meaningful responsibility in Product Management and Pricing, along with other strategic areas of a Company undergoing an exciting transformation. As a product analyst on the Claro Insurance Program Team, you’ll be responsible for analysis supporting the growth and profitability of the personal auto program. Understanding trends in our data, solving business problems, and proposing data-based solutions are all part of a role that supports a team making decisions about the overall business. With the opportunity to engage with partners in all other parts of the organization to find the appropriate solution for the program, this role provides insight into how our business grows and remains profitable, while allowing you to influence strategic considerations.

Position Responsibilities:

· Ability to work on complex problems / projects where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation.

● Research key business internal data and external industry insights using statistical analysis and data mining to understand historical patterns that can be utilized to create key business performance metrics and improve business performance.

● Executes the development, analysis, maintenance and reporting of performance scorecards

● Interacts with state insurance regulators through filings, follow-ups.

● Competitor Tracking: Closely monitor and analyze competitor changes and assist in developing responsive and proactive strategies. Communicate regularly with independent agents, marketing and underwriting to understand competitor and business issues. (External Tracking)

● Perform competitor product rate and rule comparisons (Competitive Intelligence)

● Perform intense analysis of external data (such as regulatory, demographic, and market information. (External Tracking)

● Provides input into system design for the implementation of new programs as they relate to the rating, underwriting, claims, Sales/service and the Auto Rating System.

● Develops and maintains rating algorithms, rate tables and policy contracts.

● Works in multiple projects simultaneously.

● Inclination to take ownership of assigned projects and independently drive for results.

● Provides support to product managers in the quest for profitable growth

● Assists business leadership in preparation of reports and presentations.

● Document work status/progress, build reports, find new insights for current and future use in the organization.

● Works on ad-hoc requests for analysis, research, reports, presentations dealing with business needs.

Requirements:

· 2+ years of product analysis experience preferred in personal insurance (AUTO).

· Willingness and ability to work with individuals in different time zones.

· Experience/interest in business analysis, insurance product management, general management.

· Education equivalent to a college degree in engineering, business, finance, mathematics, risk management, actuarial studies or related fields.

· Demonstrated application of mathematics, statistics, probability and principles of finance to property casualty business problems

· Ability to influence across functions and levels in an organization.

· Advanced skills in Excel including the ability to create, manipulate and formulate spreadsheets, look-ups, pivot tables, charts and graphing

· Ability to take complex analytical results and present them in easy-to-follow presentations.

· Experience in SAS, SQL, SQL Server, VBA, Access and/or other data and statistical tools desired not required.

· Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface at all levels of the organization.

· Superb relationship-building and interpersonal skills.

Pay: $62,300.00 - $100,000.00 per year
