POSITION SUMMARY

Perform material preparation, dumping, pumping, mixing and sanitation in the processing area.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Prepare and check raw materials according to Raw Material Pick List and Production Instruction.
· Transfer raw materials between warehouse storage area and processing area using forklift or pallet jets.
· Operate machines to dump or pump materials into mixing tanks and mixing.
· Clean up and move out containers, pallets and trash.
· Insure all tools and equipment are properly sanitized and maintain a clean working station.
· Ensure the use of all Raw Material follows proper FIFO instructions
· Ensure all documentation related to processing is filled out properly
· Follows proper HACCP and GMP standards
· Perform additional assignments assigned by Production Supervisors.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE / LANGUAGE SKILLS
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and write, comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos and machine display information. Bilingual in English and Chinese or English and Spanish preferred.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS / REASONING ABILITY

Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ideal candidate must compute rates, ratios, and percentages and draw and interpret bar graphs.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to read and comprehend equipment manuals and electrical diagrams for set-up control loops. Candidate must be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
