STS Aerospace in Laconia, NH is searching for an experienced Engineer to join the team. This positions oversees technical aspects of complex customer programs. We are looking for an expert in product, manufacturing or highly technical customer programs. You will oversee all technical aspects of complex customer programs; application design, manufacturing, quality, mulitfaceted testing and technical reports. To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a to desire to learn, contribute, teach, and mentor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities ·

  • Review and approval of engineering change control for drawings and manufacturing processes
  • Familiar with change management, failure analysis, lean six sigma tools
  • Supports product development efforts for an Aerospace fluid distribution business.
  • Supports failure analysis using analytical and statistical tools.
  • Identifies, in conjunction with marketing and engineering management, promising areas of research or technology that address unmet needs and have large potential markets.
  • Communicates overview of all products under development, and their stage of development in project review meetings.
  • Submits proposals considered feasible to management for consideration and allocation of funds, or allocates funds from department budget.
  • Develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring projects, such as preparation of records of expenditures and research findings, progress reports, and staff conferences, in order to inform management of current status of each project.
  • Collaborates with academia, government, and corporations.
  • Tracks industry trends, relevant legislation, and competitor activities.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Consistently, regularly and predictably at work and on time ·
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed

Education, Certifications, Licenses, & Registrations - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing engineering. 10 years related experience in manufacturing or product development; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have strong problem solving skills, a desire to learn, be goal oriented and excels in a collaborative environment.
