RESPONSIBILITIES
- Treat patients, under the direction of a Physical Therapist
- Handle routine treatment of hydrotherapy, thermotherapy, cryotherapy, massage, traction, predetermined exercises, ambulation skills, and functional activities
- Assist in tests, gait analysis and prosthetic checkouts
- Assist in instruction for the patient and family in transfers, exercises, and ambulation
- Continued support of goal achievement
- Helping patients in their restoration of wellness and independence
REQUIREMENTS
- Certified as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of Pennsylvania
- Long-term care experience preferred
