GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (GZA) desires to expand its current respected toxicology consulting practice through the addition of a Principal Level Health Scientist. We are particularly interested in highly motivated applicants with demonstrated consulting experience in the human and environmental risk assessment domains. You will lead and collaborate with a team of scientists and engineers that participate in a variety of client-facing projects related to human health, including litigation support. The location for this position is flexible.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Use expertise to solve diverse and often complex human health problems affecting a range of clients
- Attract new clients and work assignments through existing or new client relationships that result in continued diversification and growth of GZA’s toxicology and litigation support practice
- Procure and provide strategic consulting and expert witness work consistent with your recognized areas of expertise
- Maintain visibility as an expert in scientific areas of expertise
- Manage and execute projects, including scope of work, budgets, deadlines, team staffing, and quality control of deliverables
- Work with, manage, and mentor multi-disciplinary staff of health scientists including engineers, toxicologists, industrial hygienists, epidemiologists, environmental scientists and public health professionals
- Recruiting and developing top talent
QUALIFICATIONS:
- MS or PhD in epidemiology, industrial hygiene, public health, toxicology, or related disciplines.
- Minimum of 15 years of related experience
- Minimum of 5-10 years of consulting experience
- Proven record of generating new and recurring client work
- Outstanding reputation among clients for integrity, responsiveness, and technical expertise
- Extensive record of publishing scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals or other applicable technical publications
- Experience with expert witness work
- Willingness to invest and participate in GZA’s employee-owned, Principal-led organizational structure

The base salary range for this position is
$175,000 - $275,000 depending on experience and capabilities which will be assessed during the interview process.
