G.P.'s Enterprises, Inc. is a heavy civil construction company that is looking for a preventative maintenance mechanic to oversee the performance and maintenance of heavy equipment and vehicles.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

• Performs preventative maintenance inspections and service on machines
• Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure optimum performance
• Thoroughly cleans and inspects machines and machine parts, removing and replacing parts as necessary
• Maintain records on all equipment documenting maintenance and repairs as well as damage and replacement parts.
• Notifies parts manager of any and all parts needed for equipment repairs
• Coordinates with managers/ supervisors any and all routine maintenance schedules.
• Performs other related duties as needed

Required Skills/ Abilities:

• Must have working knowledge of diesel engines.
• Must work well both independently and with others
• Must have good communication skills
• Must be organized with strong attention to detail
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing and walking.
• Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
• Must be able to climb on and over machines.
• Must be able to visually inspect machines.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds.
