The Goddard School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our team in providing exceptional early childhood education. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment, working together with an Assistant Teacher and in collaboration with the entire faculty. Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with Goddard's industry-leading Quality Assurance standards
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans based on Delaware state and The Goddard Developmental Guidelines
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment in your classroom
  • Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment
  • Build strong relationships with children, parents, and other staff members
  • Support leadership and collaborate with fellow team members
  • Uphold high health and safety standards

Qualifications:

  • A nurturing teaching style and team player attitude
  • TECE1 and/or TECE 2
  • CDA
  • Associates or Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education (Preferred but not required)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
  • Strong written and communication skills

***The $500 sign up bonus will be paid after 6 months of employment. Any changes to the employment status before six months or change in job would result in forfeiture of the bonus.
