We are seeking a Portfolio Manager.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities Include:

Key Accountabilities:

· Drive brand success through by actively supporting the selling efforts of the wholesaler’s sales reps, district managers and Key Account Managers

· Gain market share and improve brand visibility within assigned on and off-premise accounts, leveraging retail controllables of displays, size distribution, menu placements, shelf management and signage

· Responsible for implementing our supplier’s execution plans to maximize sales in assigned accounts

· Work with key assigned teams to deliver monthly goals (work-with, product training, samples,)

Trade Advocacy:

· Develop and execute against our supplier’s Multi-Cultural platform in assigned accounts

· Facilitate and execute against our supplier’s Charitable Platform, while encouraging Trade colleagues and customers to include our suppliers in their philanthropic endeavors

· Develop key account relationships that deliver measurable results

· Supervise and hold accountable two field representatives

· Work in field as needed

Analysis and Tracking:

· Monitor field implementation and execution of programs within assigned accounts to ensure merchandising excellence

· Regularly interact with field management for updating programming and brand priorities, brand standards and best practices leading to successful execution in the market

· Provide detailed tracking reports of wholesaler performance against agreed-to supplier objectives

· Analyze brand performance, brand competitiveness, and product trends in the marketplace and develop strategies for assigned brand based on research and analysis

Minimum Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree

· 5 years of beverage or food distribution experience, activation agency or supplier-community

· Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license and ability to obtain and maintain auto liability insurance in accordance with State laws

Preferred Qualifications:

· Comprehensive understanding of spirits category to include on-premise trade, merchandising and competitive set

· Ability to adapt and can assist a variety of internal customer groups and varying personality types, especially on-premise operators and mixologists

· Strong negotiation skills; demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit

· Ability to create and sell innovative ideas

· Goal oriented, focused, and assertive individual who needs little direction or supervision

· Effective communication skills to present information, interpret and respond appropriately to different audiences

· Strong relationship building skills to develop insight into customer needs, provide options and meet the customer’s and the company’s business needs

· Ability to work flexible hours which include early morning, evenings, and/or weekends due to on-premise account promotions, education/mixology programs, and charitable events

· Ability to work overnight travel as required

· Ability to participate in business meetings, company initiatives and events upon request

· Proficient at reviewing comparative sales data for analysis

· Stay apprised of federal, state and local laws affecting the beverage/alcohol industry within account responsibility

Physical Demands:

· Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine

· Physical demands with activity or condition may include occasional to rare amount of time include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping

· May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 50lbs

· Other duties may be assigned as required
