Role Overview

We are looking for:

  • Hands-on technical lead for the physical property and physical form (extrusion and compaction scale-up) of new products

We count on you for:

  • As technical lead responsible for troubleshooting and problem-solving physical property and scale-up challenges
  • Lab testing and qualification of new raw materials and products
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the latest development in the field of extrusion and compaction
  • Hands-on in lab operations including polymer processing, data acquisition, data summary, data analysis, preparation of presentations and reports
  • Document, maintain, and update the laboratory project database in accordance with Lab Procedure
  • Develop new in-house test methods to rate the physical property of formulations and the masterbatch performance

You will bring:

  • B.S. or M.S. degree in Plastics Engineering, Polymer Science and Engineering, or Chemical Engineering
  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience in plastic, chemical, and packaging industries preferred
  • Fundamental knowledge of plastics, polymer science, extrusion, and compaction technologies
  • Knowledge of polyolefin resin types and their structure and property relationships (e.g. seal strength, tear strength, tensile properties, etc.) preferred
  • Hand-on working experience in extrusion operations in a manufacturing or laboratory setting
  • Demonstrated knowledge in the operation of typical polymer testing and measuring equipment: e.g. polymer extruder, injection molder, heated press, hot tack tester, stress/strain, seal strength tester, melt-flow tester, thermal oven, etc.

You will get:

  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this new hire is $73,000 to $113,000. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives
  • Travel requirement: Up to 15%
  • Smart working flexibility will be applicable
