Client near Bellaire off of 59 is looking for a Polymer Planner scheduler. Requirements for this position are a high school diploma or equivalent. A bachelor's degree is preferred. Person needs several years experience in manufacturing project coordination role. Five plus years is preferred. The successful candidate must be detailed oriented with good verbal and math skills. Need good computer skills including Word and Excel. Two years experience with JDE is preferred but has to have ERP experience. Need experience with inventory control and bills of material (BOM). Direct hire $22.00-$25.00/hour non-exempt position.

POSITION KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Quote costs and availability of existing or new Polymer products based on information supplied by Sales or Customer Service. Work with Polymer Supervisor to quote accurate lead times.

2. Check on-hand materials at issue to maintain appropriate raw material inventory levels as determined by the Polymer Supervisor. Advise Operations Vice President of material needs and requisition same as approved by Polymer Supervisor.

3. Generate and maintain On-Order Material Log to track material order by work order and on-order information for expediting purposes. Information to be obtained from JDE.

4. Enter new work orders and generate full work order packets to the Polymer shop floor for jobs, stock or complete work orders generated by Customer Service during Sales order entry.

5. Work with Polymer Supervisor to maintain on-time deliveries and review scheduled orders to issue daily shop schedules, shipping lists to Customer Service, Parts Data Assistant Supervisor and the Warehouse to facilitate allocation and physical shipment of completed parts on a daily basis.

6. Generate drawings for rider bands, piston and packing rings as required on CAD to document dimensional information and generate required routing.

7. Assign and document new part numbers in Polymer Logs and forward information to appropriate personnel for new number entry on JDE and entry of stock transfer and sales orders for the newly assigned numbers.

8. Enter standard Bill of Materials (BOM’s) on new numbers and update existing BOM’s as require.

9. Enter standard routings or update when needed to complete work orders.

10. Enter and maintain work orders on Polymer Shop Master Job Log for delivery changes per Polymer Division procedures.

11. Generate product labels for Work Order Job folder and act as backup for Polymer product packaging and labeling as required.

12. Issue raw materials to Work Orders as completed by the shop and make inventory adjustments as required.

13. After job completion and costing, generate a Shop Order Cost Summary for comparison to standard and to facilitate adjustment to standards. These are to be reviewed with the Polymer Supervisor.

14. Maintain Standard Routings on Polymer parts. Revise as needed based on shop floor feedback or machine and procedure changes.

15. Maintain Standard Bills of Materials on all Polymer products. Update as required.

16. Work with the Polymer Supervisor to generate standard run times providing a benchmark to review productivity on a job-by-job basis. Run times not within allowable percentage to standard times are to be reported to Polymer Supervisor for review.

17. Coordinator position:

a. Must be familiar with shop procedures and take an active role in learning all Polymer Shop floor processes and procedures.

b. Will back up Manufacturing Shop Production Supervisor and must be familiar with procedures and processes for the Manufacturing Shop to help with processes as required.

c. Must learn costing procedures to backup Production Costing and to gain a familiarity with the Production Costing process.

d. Maintain and update all Polymer files and logs for drawings and new numbers.

e. Update and post Unitime hours for the Polymer Division as required by the Polymer Supervisor.

f. Maintain Scrap Logs. Reconcile with scrap sales for the Polymer raw materials and provide updates to the Polymer Supervisor to determine timeliness of scrap sales.

g. Must become proficient in all JDE disciplines related to Polymer production, accurate inventory maintenance, raw material requisition and shop floor time reporting. Incumbent must be; detailed oriented with good verbal and math skills.

Person needs to be able to exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or up to 5 pounds constantly to move objects.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
