Plastic Fabricator Job at Flow Control Group
ABOUT US:
Ayer Sales is a plastic distribution company based in Selkirk, NY looking for a talented individual for the position of a fabricator that will be responsible for fabricating custom tanks & drip pans, pump stations, chemical feed systems, piping assemblies and plastic fabricated components.
POSITION: Plastic Fabricator
Position entails the alteration or assembly of manufactured products to customer specification by utilizing shop equipment and/or tools. Maintain and operate shop equipment and tools, performing quality work.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Working on assigned project individually or with another associate.
- Ensure quality standards are being carried out, maintained, and improved.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading to plan and organize work in most efficient and cost effective way.
- Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers and assigns duties to meet production schedules.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of carpentry tools such as power saws, routers, drills, and hand tools.
- Ability to work quickly while doing your job safely.
- Ability to calculate bill of material and cut lists from prints.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as area, circumference, and volume.
- Clean drivers license
- Ability to travel throughout New York and New England for field installation if necessary.
