Planner/scheduler Job at PPG Industries
As a Production Planner-Scheduler, you will be responsible for production planning operations, production management engagement, inventory, order servicing, and related activities in a high-volume batch manufacturing environment at our Cleveland Automotive OEM facility. This position is currently In-Office with flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the planning and scheduling of multiple batch production lines; with the Planner-Scheduler team to support each other while maintaining high detailed accuracy.
- Actively engage with and consistently support the production leadership.
- Manage scheduling-planning data with Oracle, update and maintain database information and key reports utilized by plant leadership.
- Timely respond to and resolve scheduling issues, bottlenecks, and other challenges by investigating, logical analysis of data, and applying root-cause analysis.
- Develop and refine supply plans and short-term capacity analysis based on current system demand and PSO quantities.
- Meet the critical needs of stakeholders and customer’s on-time delivery requirements in support with leadership in achieving the plant’s goals.
- Report regularly on current production-planning statuses, research and recommend solutions, become the subject matter expert on your assignments.
- Interact with and actively engage with appropriate PPG teams including supply chain, sales, engineering, production, quality assurance, distribution, purchasing, and field elements.
- Provide critical input to supervisor for strategic analysis, process improvements, projects, and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or Engineering or similar; OR equivalent experience in Production Planning-Scheduling for Manufacturing Operations.
- 2-5 years of experience hands-on in manufacturing planning/scheduling within a production environment.
- Proficient with Oracle or similar ERP such as SAP.
- Proficient with logical analysis of data as it relates to manufacturing, supply chain, business intelligence, or logistics.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Strong desire and passion for problem solving in manufacturing operations and/or supply chain.
- Demonstrable history of progressive career growth and a high attention to detail.
