Job Summary:
Physical Therapist Assistant will report directly to the supervising Physical Therapist, who is responsible for overseeing direct clinical skills, documentation skills, and the compliance to all professional standards. The PTA will carry out treatment plans as established by the RPT. The PTA will report to the Regional Manager for Paid Time Off approval, daily facility and corporate operations. A review of performance will be conducted on a yearly basis.
Duties will include assisting physical therapists in providing physical therapy treatments and procedures; instruct, motivate, and assist participants to learn and improve functional activities; Fit participants for, adjust, and train participants in use and care of orthopedic devices.
- Must possess the skills necessary to provide care for geriatric patients and must be able to function well in a team environment.
- Must possess the ability to establish and maintain interpersonal and interdepartmental relationships.
- Must have the ability to problem solve and interpret instructions; excellent verbal and written communication.
- Abides by all established Thome PACE policies, rules, and regulations.
- Only act within the scope of his or her authority to practice.
- Meet a standardized set of competencies for the specific position description established by Thome PACE and approved by CMS before working independently.

Required Qualifications
1. Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
2. Current Physical Therapy Assistant state license
3. Minimum of two (2) years of PTA experience
4. Minimum of one (1) year working with the frail and elderly
5. All employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment criminal background check, verification of professional licensure, if applicable, and TB Screen at time of hire. In addition, proof of COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption is required.
