Physical Therapist - Part Time Outpatient Ortho Afternoons and Evenings Job at Select Physical Therapy
Overview:
NovaCare Rehabilitation in Ijamsville Maryland is seeking steady part time physical therapists for our growing center. An ideal physical therapist has previous outpatient orthopedic experience and comfortable as a solo PT at times. We do have additional clinicians on staff and can consider strong, independent new graduate physical therapists for our motivated ortho and sports caseload. We estimate this position for 2-3 days late afternoons into the evenings until 7pm with last patient schedule at 6pm. We have 1:1 hour evals and 45 minute treatment sessions.

An ideal physical therapist has previous outpatient orthopedic experience and comfortable as a solo PT at times. This is a part time position with set hours for continuity of care. We can discuss your availability and our needs for mutual agreement to cover our busiest times, afternoons until close. Our OP center offers a broad spectrum of specialty services including, but not limited to; general orthopedics, sports medicine, neuro and industrial rehabilitative services. We are a fast paced, growing center in need of a flexible and dynamic clinician ready to jump in to serve our community.
We are unable to offer medical/PTO benefits if you are treating less than 32 hours. However, we CAN offer you full access to our in-person and online CEU accrediting courses with company matching 401(k) available to those treating roughly 16-24 hours a week.

- Must be a graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited school of physical therapy
- Valid State Physical Therapy License/ Registration REQUIRED to start
- Ability to work 40 hours per week with occasional late or early shifts to accommodate patients
- Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift patients using appropriate biomechanical techniques frequently throughout the course of a work day/shift. Must be capable of easily lifting fifty (50) pounds dead weight alone.
- Ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach constantly during a work day/shift.
- Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to evaluate, diagnose and monitor patient needs and to maintain accurate records, recognize people and provide directions.
- Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions.
- Ability to push wheeled equipment through the facility and in the community.
- Possess fine motor skills for legible and accurate reporting, charting, scheduling, daily correspondence and presentations, either manually or through use of electronic equipment.
- Possess fine motor skills for effective and efficient handling of diagnostic or therapeutic equipment.
