    is seeking exceptional candidates who are committed to helping all students in a culturally diverse environment maximize their learning while making progress towards achieving district goals. A strong academic background is essential with a readiness to teach advanced placement courses. We expect our candidates to be highly proficient leaders who will excel in facilitating interdisciplinary curricular connections building-wide. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively articulate the role of literacy within a Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) curriculum.


    Physical Education / Health - 1.0 FTE

    Qualifications:
    • State of Illinois Professional Educators License (PEL) with Senior HS endorsements in physical education.
    • Willingness to work cooperatively with other teachers in the physical education and health departments to develop new course work and to support existing programs.
    • English as a Second Language preferred.
    • Ability to teach courses at various academic levels.
    • Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
    • Must have excellent teaching skills with the ability to work in a variety of learning environments.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Willingness to support building co-curricular activities such as a theatre director, coach, or sponsor.
    • Commitment to working with an interdisciplinary or integrated team: designing, implementing, and refining curriculum.
    • Proficiency in the use of instructional and multimedia technologies.
    • Candidate should be an active member in professional organizations related to physical education and health content area.
