Responsibilities:

• Ensure that safe, appropriate, and cost-effective medication therapies are provided to patients according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Perform the duties of a supervisor such as schedule development, completing annual staff evaluations, and participating in hiring decisions.
• Act as a Liaison for other departments, medical sections and patients regarding pharmaceutical care issues is of vital importance.
• Under the guidance of the Senior Director of Pharmacy, the evening pharmacy manager will provide direct support for the evening and night shift operations at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus.
• The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of hazardous and non-hazardous sterile compounding. As a people leader, this manager will lead the development of both pharmacists and technicians that are in their scope of reporting.

Requirements:

• Experience: 3 Years of Hospital Experience; 5 Years of Health Systems Experience; Leadership Experience Preferred
• Education: Bachelor’s in Pharmacy
• License: Virginia Pharmacist licensure is required upon start
• Shift/Schedule: Monday-Friday; Evening and Night Shift; Full-time
• Location: Inova Fairfax Medical Campus 3300 Gallows Road, Falls Church, VA
