Under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist on duty, the Pharmacy Assistant will perform a variety of customer service and clerical tasks including typing, filing, stocking, delivery, processing refill prescriptions, taking phone calls and assisting customers relating to the operation of the pharmacy.
Requirements: Education: High school diploma/GED required.
Experience: One year experience in a customer service setting preferred.
License/Certification: Current Pharmacy Assistant license in good standing. Current driver’s license and auto insurance required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Bilingual (English/Spanish) language skills required. Strong communication, customer service, and computer skills required. Telephone etiquette, attention to detail and conflict resolution/problem solving skills. Ability to work required shifts and be flexible and cooperative about filling in or trading with others when vacations or sick days occur among the pharmacy staff. Must be willing to occasionally work late to accommodate patient needs.
