We are searching for a dog walker/cat sitter to add to our ever-growing employee-based team. This dog walker/pet sitter has the potential to earn $1,200 to $2,000 a month caring for and enjoying our client's dogs and cats. Our dog walkers and cat sitters come from all walks of life. Where do you come from?

We are currently offering services in Lowell, North Andover, Andover, Methuen, Haverhill, Wilmington, Billerica, Tewksbury, Reading, Lawrence.

These will be the territories you will travel to for the pet visits. Please take into consideration that there is a possibility that you may only have one walk on a given day and you need to be able to commute to one of these locations to complete it.

Our staff includes those interested in artistic pursuits (musicians, writers, and artists), college students pursuing undergraduate and graduate degrees, teachers, retirees, veterans, mothers, fathers, and, of course, people looking to work with animals professionally. You do not need professional experience to apply but it is preferred.

Here is what we ask you to do as a pro dog walker and pet sitter:

• You will be providing pet sitting services for clients.
• You will be responsible for walking dogs, feeding, ensuring the well-being of our animal charges.
• Dog walks are done in the client's own neighborhood. You will not perform group/pack dog walks nor off-leash dog walks.
• You will do all aspects of cat care including cleaning the litter box, feeding and playtime.
• You may need to give medication, but training is provided.
• Did we mention this job requires you to play with puppies and kittens too?

We have flexible hours within the range from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. On many days you will not need to start as early as 7:00 AM, but you need to have the flexibility depending on our client bookings. It is possible you will have downtime between visits. Many dog walkers and cat sitters use the downtime to work on their own personal/professional obligations. We understand that dog walkers/cat sitters have obligations outside of work and work/life balance is a critical component for us!

Some basic dog walking and cat sitting requirements:

Previous experience with animals (not including your own pet) is not required but preferred.

We currently have openings for all days and all shifts (Sunday through Saturday) flexibility is important in this position!

US Citizen or legally authorized to work in the US for at least the next 12 months

You must be at least 18 years of age to apply

Able to pass a background check

Able to commit to this position for 1 year

Ideally, we would like you to be available up to 3 separate shifts a week.

This is an outdoor rain-or-shine position! We are always understanding when it comes to safety of our staff and their comfort driving in bad weather. Please remember that on cold rainy days our dogs still need to be walked.

This position requires availability the week of Thanksgiving and Christmas. As pet sitters, holiday availability is critical. Major holidays and weekends can represent peaks of demand for pet sitting services.

If you like variety, this is a job where no two days are the same! We service mainly dogs and cats, but also have the occasional guinea pig, hamster, fish, and other small pets.
