We are seeking a professional, motivated, and reliable Medical Assistant for our back office patient care and front desk back up. We are looking for someone with strong customer service, computer skills, knowledge of electronic medical records (EPIC is a plus), dependable, reliable, a willingness to learn, and be a team player. Full-time position, 4 day work wk, 32-36 hrs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Excellent customer service
  • Greet and prepare patients for health care visit. This includes interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patient's chart.
  • Give instructions to patients as instructed by provider.
  • Ensure all related reports, labs and information is available in patients' medical records, prior to their appointment.
  • Perform daily and weekly duties, as assigned.
  • Familiarity with pediatric vaccine schedule and administration
  • Perform point of care lab testing and medication administration, as needed
  • Phone triage
  • Cross-train to Front Desk for Receptionist support
  • Ability to multitask and maintain effective, organized systems; ensuring timely patient flow.
  • Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, and prepare sterilization, as required.
  • Follows all OSHA standards, policies and procedures.
  • Follows all HIPAA standards, policies and procedures.
  • Attend staff meetings, as required.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required:

1-2 years working in a medical setting.

Education:

  • High School Diploma
  • Medical Assistant Certification, preferred

Preferred Education/Experience:

  • Knowledge of Epic
  • Experience administering vaccinations, strongly preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
