Certified Home Care has an IMMEDIATE opening for full time Personal Care Assistant to start work with one of the people we serve at Eden Prairie, MN . The recipient is a female, needs someone to help with daily chores like bathing, dressing, mobility, shopping, medication reminder, companion, homemaking, and get her ready for the day in the morning.

Position Summary:

The Personal Care Attendant (PCA) will perform direct client cares and will assist in activities of daily living under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or responsible party member to help the patient maintain the highest level of performance and independence. The Personal Care Attendant will perform the cares as ordered by the patient’s physician and as documented in the patient’s plan of care.

Required Skills:

• Must be able to show compassion and empathy of persons who are chronically ill, or otherwise disabled
• Must demonstrate an understanding and maturity with respect to the responsibilities and expectations of the position
• Must demonstrate the ability to read, write and carry out written as well as verbal directions in English
• Must be able to lift, turn, position and transfer at least 50lbs
• Must be reliable and dependable
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be punctual and consistent with time.

Some experience as a PCA or Home Health Aide is preferred
