Patient Care Technician, 5 West IMCU Job at Atlantic Health System
Overview:
Atlantic Health System is seeking a per diem Patient Care Technician for 5 West Department in Chilton Medical Center.
Responsibilities:
Essential Function/Responsibilities:
- Assisting patients with activities of daily living
- Obtaining and recording vital signs, weights and heights
- Assisting patients with mobility: ambulation, transfer, discharges and ROM activities
- Performing post mortem care
- Measuring and recording I & O
- Performing EKG's, phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring
- Observing and reporting changes in patients’ condition to the RN
- Maintaining phlebotomy equipment and inventory and all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education:
- High school graduate or equivalent required
Minimum Experience:
- 6 months prior healthcare experience with patient care experience preferred.
License/Certifications:
- Current BLS required
