Cutting edge treatments from our Interventional Radiology Physicians include Atherectomy and Embolization. Atherectomies function to revascularize lower extremities and prevent amputations of feet or toes for patients that suffer from peripheral artery disease. Embolization Interventions patients avoid major surgeries such as Total Knee Replacement, Shoulder Replacement, Prostatectomy (men), Hysterectomy (women), Hemorrhoidectomy, Plantar Fasciitis Surgery, and more.

Our Sports Medicine Teams focus on quick access to imaging for patients, physical therapy, and high-end sports procedures involving Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections, Visco-supplementation procedures, and much more.

AIM also provides the best Foot & Ankle Care from our Podiatry Team and Primary Care Services from our Family Practice Physicians.

Certifications/Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time

Overview:

The role of the Patient Services Representative is vital to the success of the clinic. This position will undertake a wide range of tasks, most importantly, being the first impression of our clinic to our patients.

This position requires strong computer skills, including the ability to work with medical software. Requires exceptional interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to manage multiple changing priorities in an effective and organized manner. Must be adaptable and flexible, willing to adapt or adjust to accommodate your team members and patients.

The goal of this position is to ensure the clinics operations will be running smoothly, effectively, and accurately to deliver maximum value to the organization and assistance to our patients.

Job Requirements:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalency (GED)
  • 1+ years’ customer service experience; in a healthcare setting preferred
  • 1+ years’ EMR systems experience preferred
  • 1+ years’ knowledge/experience of medical insurances

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Warmly greets every patient upon arrival, obtains insurance information, and any other necessary data.
  • Answering office phones, scheduling appointments, and directing calls appropriately.
  • Check in and check out patients
  • Call and/or text patients to remind them of upcoming appointments and to help them schedule testing for off-site services.
  • Completes all necessary documentation in the patient’s medical record in accordance with practice’s charting policy.
  • Verifies insurance benefits and ensures all authorizations and referrals are obtained prior to the patients visit.
  • Collects all amounts due at the time of service including co-pays, self-insured amounts, past due balances, and amounts for DME products.
  • Responds to requests for information from patients, providers, and coworkers in a timely manner and with a positive attitude.
  • Responsible for completing all end of the day reports, batches, and ensures all money is accounted for prior to leaving each day.
  • Provides patients with support and guidance as needed.
  • Work closely with the Director of Nursing, communicating concerns or issues as they arise.
  • Maintain a professional work environment at all times
  • Perform other duties as assigned
