Responsibilities:
Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health, a subsidiary of UHS, is a 182-bed treatment facility, conveniently located in beautiful Oakland Park, FL that specializes in the successful treatment of substance abuse and mental health issues for youth, adults and seniors. Our progressive team members in the fields of psychiatry, medicine, nursing, social services, education and activity therapy are all committed to provide compassionate, comprehensive care that uniquely fits the intensity and severity of each patient’s needs. This commitment extends to the family and community of our patients as a whole.

We offer a continuum of mental health and addiction services through an integrated system of inpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and ECT programs. Our overall goal is to provide the highest quality treatment possible for drug abuse and mental health issues in order to help our patients achieve good health and long-term sobriety. Fort lauderdale BH is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Salary $20 - $22 per hour

Qualifications:
Education/Training:
  • High School graduate or equivalent. Associate degree preferred.

Experience:
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the inpatient Healthcare Collection.
  • Excellent working knowledge of primary and secondary insurance claims.
  • Experience in claims denial management
  • Experince in Patient Payment Colllection & Payment Arrangement Plan
  • Ability to analyze data and present innovative solutions

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Must be goal oriented, attentive to detail.
  • Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Must work effectively under pressure includes multitasking
  • Must maintain Behavioral Health Center, patient financial, and treatment information in the strictest confidence.
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must maintain a clean, organized working area
  • Sensitive and aware of diverse cultures and their practices.
