Summary:
Operates passivation equipment that cleans and chemically alters products, metal pieces, instruments, and equipment. Helps in other departments.
· Places articles in passivation/cleaning line manually. May have many sequential operations occurring simultaneously.
· Verifies temperature and pH parameters, and sets timer(s), moving product to next tanks in the process.
· Removes treated parts after specified time to next process or appropriate location.
· Maintains pH levels in tanks. Cleans tanks and replace solutions as required.
· Monitors and logs all stages of process to be in compliance with OSHA, FDA medical device and ISO 13485 regulated guidelines.
· Advises management of issues surrounding performance and condition of equipment and product passivated.
· Performs wipe passivation process to insure the laser marked product does not rust.
· Keep the work area clean and orderly.
· Completes documents as required using good documentation practices.
· Responsible for ultrasonically cleaning and counting production parts.
· Electropolishing parts as required in PO and traveler.
Education and/or Experience
High School diploma or equivalent. 2 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience working in FDA medical device and ISO 13485 regulated environment.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
