About the Opportunity

Pattons has an immediate opening for a Parts Specialist to work out of our Charlotte, NC branch. Reporting to the Director of Service Excellence, the Parts Specialist will support branch operations by fulfilling parts orders, researching parts for service requirements, preparing quotes for parts, sourcing parts, and inventory management.

As Parts Specialist, you will:

  • Research parts required to support internal job orders and direct customer inquiry via phone and e-mail
  • Manage customer communications & and fulfill orders for direct parts inquiry
  • Place purchase orders with vendors for parts and follow up supplies
  • Manage vendor relations and communications
  • Manage cost and price for parts
  • Monitor parts inventory and replenish stock as needed to ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained
  • Help with inventory cycle count for the assigned warehouse
  • Add, delete and manage parts in the ERP system
  • Maintain data& manage self-based on Key Performance Indicators
  • Other tasks as needed or assigned

About You

The Parts Specialist opportunity may be a match for you if you have the following required qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years' experience in material procurement, parts management, or similar position, preferably in an industrial, distribution, or warehouse setting
  • Experience in managing vendor & customer communication
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (intermediate MS Excel skills to run reports, create basic formulas, pivot tables, filters, and analyze data), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, and inventory management software
  • Experience working with others in a fast-paced environment
