Job Position: Packer QC

The position under the responsibility of the shift supervisor is responsible for the following:

• Be responsible for packing product that meets the customer specifications
• In the back area of packaging: check product and discard any that fail to meet the specifications in place
• In the front area of the production line: ensure that the deposited product follows the specifications established for formed raw dough

For all the tasks under your responsibility, insure their conformity in order to insure quality of the products and food safety. Advise QA Department of all deviances

Checker tasks (front and back):

• Ensure that the product meets customers specifications
• Every 15 minutes, measure and inspect 4 pieces for length and weight as they are deposited onto the production trays
• Record measurements and weights using Minitab
• Report any problems with specifications to the supervisor, operator, and assistant operator
• Report any foreign materials, dirt or debris to the supervisor, operator, and assistant operator
• Record reported downtime

Packing tasks:

• Ensure packed product meets the customers’ specifications
• Ensure the correct count is in packed boxes
• Report any problems with specifications to the supervisor, line leader or QC technician
• Pack product in the appropriate box, using the correct liner

Other tasks:

• Keep the work area clean, swept, and organized
• Perform sanitation tasks during shutdowns or Plant breakdowns
• Follow all safety rules, company rules and GMPs
• Perform any additional tasks as required

Qualifications

Academic requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, although none required

Work experience:

• At least 1 year experience in food manufacturing

General knowledge & Other Requirement

• Know the locations of MSDS and know how to read them
• Traverse stairs, ladders, and lifts in order to perform duties
• Exposure to noise and a cold environment
• Exposure to an environment with flour
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP’s and BRC

Pay Rate: $15.50 per hour!

Work conditions:

Location: Vineland, NJ

Work schedules:

Shifts available: 1st , 2nd or 3rd shift

Work schedules: Weekdays and/or weekends (5 p.m. to 5 a.m. )

Work hours: Days, evenings and nights (4 days on 3 days off)
