As the Director of P2 (Power of Two, which is a spin-off expansion of our P1-Power of One group) you are responsible for the daily collaboration of our P2 Technical Team. You will work in partnership with our sales force to bring technical expertise for the selection and design of equipment in the following categories: Valves and Actuation, Filtration, Steam, Lined Pipe, Instrumentation and Pumps. We support OEM and end market users, specify electric, pneumatic, and complete customer package solutions. This includes prepare and interpret schematics, test procedures, controller selection, size and select equipment, as well as trouble-shoot, recommend and specify components. You will provide critical training and development for not only the P2 team but also for FCx as a whole.

The P2 (Power of Two) engineering team is a versatile premier engineering team working on key accounts, complex systems and projects, premier technology and up and coming technology, and driving innovation at customers and within our company.


Essential Functions:

  • Develop business relationships with customer engineers, programmers, designers, and other professional and technical personnel at commercial, industrial, and other establishments to create solutions that incorporate our products into their systems.
  • Work in tandem with our Outside Sellers to target key customers and product areas of focus for strategic growth.
  • Maintain professional working contact with key suppliers of products represented, supporting vendor products on applications, and support innovation/development of future vendor products.
  • Design to learn, investigate products and technology, drive innovation on an ongoing basis, and understand how to integrate these technologies seamlessly, in vertical markets such as Power, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Food and Beverage, and Energy.


Additional responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively on projects with leadership, sales personnel, branch personnel, including sales and shop associates to support customers needs in the market.
  • Travel to customer locations occasionally as needed to support growth initiatives and provide technical expertise and/or training.
  • Mechanical hands-on assistance may be required on occasion.
  • Content development for internal and external use.
  • Key projects for the leadership team with a focus on process improvement.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Mechanical Engineering preferred)
  • Leadership experience
  • Working knowledge of DesignCAD, AutoCAD, 3-D modeling software, or SolidWorks
  • Ability to read / understand technical drawings


Preferred:

  • schematic experience
  • Industrial Distribution experience
