New Engine Outside Sales Manager

Salary:

$85K - $90K Draw paid bi-weekly and commission structure which pays on NEW business ranging $3K per sale to potentially $17K per sale. The incentive scales from a buyer taking approx. 20 units or $250K to 1,000 units or $10M in annual purchases.

Territory:

The entire state of California and Southern Nevada. This is a remote position, requiring up to

75% travel within California and Southern Nevada. Only candidates who live in the state of California or Southern Nevada will be considered for hire.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The New Engine Sales Manager will manage all aspects of industrial diesel engine sales for the Mansfield, Texas, area. This role will perform quotes, activity, and follow-up reports while effectively monitoring sales activities. Additionally, the New Engine Sales Manager will focus on maintaining regulatory and technical information for distribution dealers. The New Engine Sales Manager will liaise with customers, dealers, end-users, and multiple departments. The ideal candidate must be knowledgeable in sales with a demonstrable ability to network and be flexible to changing work environments while identifying and quickly assessing opportunities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The New Engine Sales Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:

 Promote, sell, and manage New and Remanufactured Diesel engines product line for assigned territory working primarily with OEMs

 Oversee all aspects of direct engine O.E.M. dealer and end-user sales.

 Generate new business through networking and cold-calling efforts.

 Maintain regulatory and technical information for distribution to O.E.M. and dealers.

 Provides market information to Corporation.

 Perform quotes, weekly/monthly activity reports, follow-up reports, and documentation required to monitor sales activities effectively.

 Identify, research, and contact prospective customers and builds positive relationships to generate future sales and repeat business.

 Effectively communicate territory goals, growth goals, and target accounts to the executive team and co-workers.

 Negotiate purchasing terms, contracts, and vendor sales agreements.

 Assess and document customer feedback for quality assurance and risk management purposes.

 Confer with marketing and sales divisions to establish pricing schedules.

 Advise end-users and dealers on policies and operating procedures.

 Perform product demonstrations.

 Promote product lines by attending industry events and expositions.

 Other duties as assigned

Anticipated local & domestic travel time is approximately 50-75% depending on business needs.

Company Vehicle will be provided:

Areas of responsibility include the entire state of California and Southern Nevada

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

X Must be able to promote and sell to OEMs, Dealer Networks, and end-users.

X Experienced in customer/ market requirements.

X 3 plus years’ experience working with distributors in the diesel engine or related business.

X Computer-oriented and experienced with Microsoft computer software programs (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access).

X Knowledge of the off-highway engine market and its applications.

X Must be able to travel to territory sites as required.
