Hartgrove Behavioral Health System is a 160-bed leading psychiatric hospital dedicated to providing quality behavioral health services for its diverse population of children, adolescents and adults. Hartgrove is a Joint Commission accredited and state licensed facility focused on short-term crisis stabilization programs. We provide fully accredited educational programs, comprehensive Behavioral Health services, along with an array of additional services, while utilizing a holistic treatment approach.

The Hospital is seeking a part-time Outpatient Program Coordinator for one of our outpatient facilities, Oak Park Family Counseling Center, Located at: 101 MADISON ST STE 200 OAK PARK, IL 60302
This is a 20 hour per week position that includes daytime hours (no weekends or evenings required). Qualifications:
The primary responsibilities are as follows:

  • Responsible for all front-end administrative / reception responsibilities in the outpatient clinic (i.e., answering multi-line phone system, routing calls, communicating with patients/families/referral sources to schedule appointments, preparation and maintenance of provider schedules and billing ledgers).
  • Responsible for obtaining patient insurance information, verifying benefits, and communicating with patients/families and providers about benefit verification.
  • Responsible for submitting daily reports regarding clinic appointments and outcomes to the business office for billing.
  • Maintain overall organization of the outpatient clinics (i.e., filing, organizing medical records, responding to records requests, organizing/re-ordering supplies, facilitating payroll submission, and other duties as needed).
  • Provide exceptional customer service over the phone and in person to all patients/families/guests.

Job Requirements:
  • Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience with healthcare scheduling and/or billing practices strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and exceptional level of professionalism.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to adeptly work with multiple computer systems simultaneously.
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English a strong plus!!
