Organic Chemist in Targeted Delivery

Main Duties & Responsibilities

In this Senior Scientist level role you will be part of a team of highly skilled and passionate individuals responsible for innovating and generating the best in class antibody drug conjugates for various therapeutic areas. We are seeking a highly motivated synthetic chemist with background in targeted delivery.

Exciting opportunity to learn and contribute to multi-disciplinary drug development.

Key responsibilities include:

Design and synthesize cytotoxic and non-cytotoxic drug-linkers for generation of therapeutic conjugates

Develop hydrophilic linkers with target-specific cleavage mechanism

Coordinate chemistry CRO activity and help troubleshoot synthetic steps

Collaborate and work with diverse group of scientists across various therapeutic areas, chemistry and process development to ensure timely progress in research projects and drive technological innovations

Basic Qualifications

• PhD in Organic Chemistry/ Chemical Biology or other relevant discipline with 3+ years of relevant experience in industry or academia OR
• Masters in Organic Chemistry/ Chemical Biology or other relevant discipline with 9+ years of relevant experience in industry or academia.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience in synthetic organic chemistry, including purification and analytical methods, air-free chemical synthesis and small-scale techniques
• Knowledgeable in traditional and state-of-the-art parallel routes of synthetic chemistry
• Proven ability to work independently, effectively plan and organize work activities and prioritize task completion to meet project deadlines
• Demonstrated experience in optimizing/troubleshooting protocols with a problem-solving mindset and maintains a detailed laboratory notebook
• Track record of scientific innovation as evidenced by scientific publications, patents and oral presentations at conferences
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and effective presentation of complex scientific data to cross-functional teams and senior management

Desired Skills

• Hands-on experience in synthesis of cytotoxic payloads and linkers for antibody drug conjugates is highly desirable.
• Hands-on experience with synthesis and purification of hydrophilic linkers is highly desirable.
