We are currently looking to hire a full-time or part-time employee (21 - 40 hours per week) to work in our busy independent optometric practice located inside the Tumwater Costco. We are a small office, medium patient volume, and fast paced where team members are cross-trained to handle all duties as needed. This is a new business and we would like to add a long term member to our team. Any type of experience in optometry or ophthalmology and/or optometric/ophthalmic certification/license is preferred as well as proficiency in languages other than English but neither are required and we are willing to train the right candidate.

o Billing insurances and patients for optometric services.

o Knowledge of obtaining insurance eligibility and authorizations

o Patient scheduling, check-in, pre-testing & contact lens wear training

Requirements:

o Good computer, phone, and keyboard skills

o Self-directed, with strong organizational and time management skills

o Energetic, positive personality; experience in working well with a team & the public

o Be available to work during business hours, trainable and willing to learn
