Job description

Retina Associates of South Texas, PA is a growing specialty ophthalmology group practice. As part of our expansion plan, we are looking for experienced Ophthalmic Technician to join our team ASAP. Willing to train if not experienced.

Position requires good understanding of ophthalmology office routine. Candidate will assist doctors and staff throughout patient exam, office and laser procedures. Certification preferred but not required. Skills include but are not limited to: Comprehensive medical and ophthalmic history, visual acuity, pupil assessment, confrontation fields, tonometry. Work to include various other office tasks as assigned. Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred. Must be responsible, extremely dependable, and be a team player. Must be able to travel. Must consistently provide quality patient care and excellent customer service, have the ability to communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, physicians, and supervisors. Candidate must be willing to travel to satellite offices . Excellent communication and people skills, and ability to interact professionally at various organizational levels. Prior experience working with EMR is required.
