Could This Be For You?:
Leads business operations, manages clinic expenses, is the interface between consolidated services (Revenue Cycle Management), the Hanger Resource Center, and local clinical leadership, and manages and develops the administrative staff across multiple clinics. Reviews and monitors financial performance and provides strategy and tactics that improve financial performance, patient care quality, and WIP conversion. Supports and maintains referral, managed markets, and payor relationships.
Your Impact:
  • Manage day-to-day administrative clinic operations
  • Ensure daily, weekly and monthly goals for patient care, WIP conversion, and revenue are met, and disallowed sales and denial rates are aligned with company goals
  • Build and retain a high performing administrative staff
  • Ensure staff vacancies are filled in a timely manner with high quality OAs by partnering with Talent Acquisition
  • Train, coach, and develop each team member
  • Create an engaging environment where employees thrive and patients receive the highest quality experience - May manage other Operations Managers
  • Measure and meet/exceed WIP/CSR and fabrication tracking objectives
  • Monitor and ensure accuracy of inventory processes
  • Manage clinic expenses and materials to meet or exceed budget projections by managing ADP and Catalyst activities
  • Contribute ideas about sales and marketing strategy and tactics
  • Monitor and manage financial controls, e.g. SOX audits, and ensure all administrative and operations compliance related processes and procedures are implemented and followed
  • Drive effective use of front office systems and technology, including system conversions and introduction of new tools that improve work processes
  • Review clinical documentation and ensure it meets payor needs
  • Communicate payor updates, issues, or potential issue to consolidated services (Revenue Cycle Management)
  • Maintain quality assurance programs, e.g. Net Promoter Score and Outcomes, to ensure patient satisfaction with office staff services
  • Address information and service needs by interfacing with partners in the Hanger Resource Center (Real Estate, IT, HR, Finance, etc.)
  • Enforce the compliance with HIPAA Privacy Rules to ensure the privacy and security of protected health information
  • Perform other related project, system and analytical duties as required
  • Manage special projects as requested by the Regional / Market leadership
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Management, or related field of study OR equivalent combination of education & experience
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience of operations management in a healthcare setting, preferably in Orthotics and Prosthetics
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience hiring, supervising, training, and coaching others.
  • Supervising/managing experience in a multi-site environment preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger’s Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures.
  • Preferred candidate will reside in the market (Arizona/New Mexico)

  • Demonstrated ability in financial metrics and analysis.

  • Firm working knowledge of healthcare reimbursement rules and regulations
  • Strong ability to create written reports on revenue generation, WIP, patient and employee satisfaction, and any other job-related topic as needed
  • Demonstrated record of addressing customer / patient issues
  • Proficiency in Windows based office technologies (ex. Word, Excel)
