This is a night shift position: Wed. 12 am- 6 am; Thurs/Fri. 6 pm- 5 am; every other Sat/Sun. 6 pm- 5 am. Mainframe experience and Major Incident Coordinator experience, highly preferred. Remote candidates will be considered.

Position Summary


Provide advanced administration support for all facets of infrastructure system operations. Provide day-to-day technical supervision and high level support in multiple locations. Responsible for usage/performance reports distribution, interfacing to enterprise processes such as incident, problem and change management, job scheduling, system automation, and analytical tasks as assigned by management. Design and implement, install, maintain and administer infrastructure systems including hardware, software and various configurations. Essential Job Functions

  • Implement overall infrastructure/middleware components per project with infrastructure teams, ensuring that overall solution is designed to meet SLA (performance and up-time), DR and scalability needs required by the solution
  • Provide ad hoc technical training to customer groups on company technologies, infrastructure, hardware, and software applications
  • Execute incident and change management processes for PC, server, or mainframe applications and hardware
  • Provide preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution for technical incidents
  • Provide technical support to diagnose, analyze, research and resolve simple computer incidents for internal and external customers
  • Responsible for recognizing, researching, isolating, resolving and documenting problems with information system products and services
  • Document and route customer escalations and recommend appropriate technical team or resource to help resolve issues
  • Partner and communicate with vendors or cross functional teams on support and project initiatives
  • Execute, log and report break/fixes changes, service requests and support activities
  • Develop and follow documented processes and procedures to ensure infrastructure systems stability
  • Maintain and participate in the development of operational procedures, processes and scripts
  • Provide and analyze usage, performance, service level, compliance and audit reporting
  • Implement, report, and monitor service upgrades (e.g. security fixes, etc.)
  • Test and support software/hardware upgrades that directly affect area of expertise
  • Complete project plans for the implementation and rollout of new or updated software and processes
  • Perform process, hardware and software analysis on new technologies in their area of support and make recommendations to management
  • Provide off-hours support (24 x 7) as required
  • Travel to offsite work locations as needed

Minimum Position Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in adjacent technologies
  • Proven PC skills in Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel Spreadsheets
  • Proven communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate information to customers and to all levels within the organization
  • Strong customer service skills
  • May be required to work weekends

Desired Previous Experience/Education

  • Associate Degree in Information Systems or related equivalent work experience in an IS position
  • 4+ years of experience in supporting IT Infrastructure or Security services
  • Any experience in an Operations Analyst position
  • Any previous retail experience
  • Knowledge of infrastructure system operations
