Overview:
The Onboarding Specialist is a member of the HR team, and works closely with the Talent Acquisition team, and the candidates to provide an exceptional candidate experience.
The Onboarding Specialist manages the onboarding process for all Home Health positions. She/he performs various tasks, including data entry, scheduling background checks, pre-employment testing, and monitoring of employee files in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. She/he will possess excellent customer service, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
- Own and ensure a positive candidate / new hire experience for all new hires, including nurses into the home health line of business, focusing on clinical hires
- Coordinate all communication between hiring team and candidates (HR Team, Hiring Manager, Talent Acquisition Team and Candidates)
- Support candidates through hiring paperwork and onboarding process to ensure seamless simple process for candidates including offer letters, background checks, MVR, reference checks
- Provide education and information to new hires to ensure a positive onboarding and engagement experience
- Be the expert on onboarding systems and tools, including the ATS (Applicant Tracking System)
- Understand and ensure accurate system input of new hires
- Show a heightened sense of urgency to get candidates on board – extremely responsive to candidate needs
- Associates degree or equivalent related experience
- At least 2 years of experience in administrative support or recruiting
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong presentation and written communication skills with an attention to detail
- Experience in establishing high standards of service delivery to customers and clients
- Knowledge of HR and EEOC policies is helpful
- Ability to react quickly and with a sense of urgency to requests, issues, e-mails, or other events in a timely and flexible fashion
