Tax and Financial Service firm is looking for a part time office manager/bookkeeper. This is a family run business of 50+ years providing five-star personalized services to their client family. Looking for a sharp team member who takes initiative and is a problem solver. Must possess ability to prioritize and multi-task. You must possess strong communication, organization and customer service skills.
Four six-hour days per week. More hours are available in busy season (Jan – Apr)
Candidate responsibilities include:
- Managing accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Write-up bookkeeping for multiple clients
- Prepare sales tax, payroll tax, personal property tax and local business tax returns
- Purchasing supplies for office
- Miscellaneous office duties
Required skills:
- Strong organizational principles
- Proficiency with Windows, Outlook, Excel, Word
- Proficiency with QuickBooks (desktop and online)
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and clients
- Flexibility to do multiple different kinds of jobs and learn new tasks
PLUS skills:
- Familiarity with sales tax, payroll tax, personal property tax and local business tax returns
- Proficiency with Lacerte
- Proficiency with Laserfiche
- Familiarity with income tax law or prior experience in an income tax office
Background check will be conducted upon hire.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00 per hour
