Office Administrator

Summary:

The Office Administrator assists with the administration of our developmentally appropriate programs for preschool and elementary aged children in a Christian setting that is accepting of all faiths. These programs support children’s social/emotional, physical, cognitive, language, and spiritual development throughout the curriculum.

This is a non-Exempt, hourly position for an academic year. The calendar aligns with FCPS. Summer hours negotiable. Optional matching 403(b), paid time off days, and five paid holidays.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintains office and records to support staff, children, and families.

Maintains professional, effective communication with staff and parents/families.

Completes required taks and written documentation in a timely manner.

Provides classroom supports as needed.

Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as needed, occasionally beyond regular work schedule.

Relationships:

The Office Administrator is employed by the Church under the direction of the program Directors.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Holds a High School diploma or equivalent is minimum requirement.

Experience, background, training and/or classes in office software and processes is preferred.

Knowledge of early childhood development and programs is preferred.

Ability to work with young children, staff, and families both physically and mentally.

Ability to learn and follow applicable health and safety procedures.

Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with other staff members and families.

Demonstrates professionalism, responsibility, and reliability.

Successful background checks and health standards as required by Fairfax County and the Virginia Department of Education.

Fluent English in both oral and written communication.

Meets annual Continuing Education requirements.

Understands and complies with the policies and procedures of the Church.

Completes and maintains First Aid, CPR and Medication Administration Training certifications.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
