Telluride based off road tour outfitter is looking for off road tour guides for the upcoming summer/fall season. Ideal candidate will have extensive off road driving experience and ability to make good decisions in critical situations. Knowledge of local mining history, geography, etc is also a plus. Previous guiding experience strongly suggested, including off road or other backcountry activities. Willing to train the right candidate. Compensation commensurate with experience. All candidates subject to background check and DOT physical. First Aid and CPR certification required prior to start date. Full time and part time candidates will be considered. Season runs from approx June 1 to mid October, with mid June to mid August being the busiest.

Fully furnished short term no lease housing is available in Ridgway for a commitment to working 5-6 days/week.

We use the Pinzgauer for most of our tours, these are old Swiss military vehicles . All have locking differentials and are extremely capable and durable machines. They are all carbureted with manual transmissions. Overall these are very cool and unique trucks. We also have a Jeep with automatic transmission for smaller groups.

A typical day would begin around 8-9am and consist of 2 hour tours and/or 4 hour half day tours. The clientele in Telluride is very high end and the tips are generous. You can expect to make $100/trip + in gratuity.
