WinnCompanies is on the hunt for an Occupancy Specialist who loves accuracy and compliance just as much as they love helping others within affordable housing! You will assist the Property Manager with leasing and marketing duties to maintain resident retention, initial, interim, and annual tenant recertifications.
This position is offering $18.00 to $19.00 hourly.
Responsibilities
- Implements all aspects of apartment leasing such as assisting with the management of the wait list, touring with prospective residents, processing applications for compliance with multiple programs, and completing new resident orientation at the time of the move-in.
- Maintains occupancy and program compliance by processing annual and interim recertifications in compliance with WinnCompanies guidelines, local, state, and federal regulations
- Ensures all information is accurate and entered in the Property Management software; Comply with company policies regarding the proper treatment of Tax Credit and Resident files.
- Ensure that the recertification reporting calendar is followed and that all recertification reports and letters to tenants are run and delivered timely.
- Assists with annual or periodic unit inspections
- Reviews, prioritizes, and distributes resident service requests
- Performs all duties while generating interest and enthusiasm about the property by creating an exceptional customer experience
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
- 1 to 3 years’ experience in affordable housing, tax credit/LIHTC a plus
- Experience with computer systems and web based applications
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail
