Nursing Assistant (Day Shift) Job at Devcare Solutions
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- This position will be expected to monitor and engage youth in a transitional cottage setting.
- Responsibilities will include: engaging in activities with youth such as playing games, puzzles, reading, talking, watching a movie; serving pre-prepared meals to youth and distributing snacks at appropriate times; monitoring youth as they engage in peer activities to ensure they are respectful, safe and engage in appropriate interactions with each other; remain mobile and moving throughout cottage to directly observe youth behaviours; monitor bed time preparations; monitor youth periodically when sleeping to ensure safety; utilize de-escalation skills when youth become agitated; and, alert on-site security guards when youth’s behaviours escalate or become aggressive.
- Previous experience working with youth will be helpful.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift
