Position Summary

Radiology Partners is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to work in collaboration with a supervising physician with our practice in Columbus, GA. The candidate will represent the practice in interactions with hospital staff, referring clinicians, patients and the health care community in general. The candidate assists in providing procedure-based radiology services in a hospital practice setting.

This position is Monday-Friday, 8a-5p. We offer a competitive base salary which can be enhanced by taking call in the hospital, generous PTO, full complement of benefits to include health insurance and 401k.

LOCAL PRACTICE AND COMMUNITY OVERVIEW

St. Francis Hospital is a 376-bed acute care facility in Columbus, GA which offers a full range of inpatient, outpatient and emergency room services. St. Francis is nationally recognized for providing outstanding care for stroke patients. The hospital serves over 300k residents in western Georgia and eastern Alabama. The Imaging Department at St. Francis-Emory Healthcare offers advanced technology, including all-digital imaging which increases accuracy and the speed at which test results are available, allows quick and easy access for physicians via the internet, and facilitates fast duplication for computer viewing.

Columbus, GA is located 90 minutes south of Atlanta and is the second largest city in GA. It has a population of 193,000 and a diversity index of 65. Located on the Chattahoochee River, the city boasts its own whitewater rafting and zip lining courses, biking and hiking trails, and a vibrant restaurant/entertainment scene in the historic downtown district. The historic downtown district known to locals as “Uptown” also boasts the Springer Opera House and the River Center for Performing Arts for those who enjoy live performances. In addition to healthcare, the community is experiencing growth in industries such as Aerospace, Automotive, Biosciences and Defense. Columbus is home to prominent industries including the headquarters for Aflac, Synovus, TSYS and Carmike Cinemas. It is also home to several colleges and universities, Fort Benning and the Georgia Military College. Columbus is within driving distance to Panama City Beach, FL., Destin FL., Hilton Head Island, SC., and Savannah, GA.

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited NP/PA program
• Current NP/PA license and certificate of authority to practice as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the State of Georgia required
• Board certified by The National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
