Night Shift Laboratory Technician-Biotech-Los Angeles Job at Laragen, Inc
Laragen, Inc was founded in 1995 with the sole intention of making the highest quality DNA Sequencing and Genotyping laboratory in the industry. Our primary goals are to provide impeccable quality and fast turnaround times for your DNA sequencing and genotyping needs whether you work at an academic institution or for a private company.
We are currently looking for a night-shift lab technician. The hours are Monday to Friday, 4:30 pm to 12:30 am. Main job responsibility is receiving samples, PCR/sequencing reaction setup, DNA extractions, operating lab equipment, troubleshooting, lab maintenance, minimal customer support and other lab duties as required.
Candidates with experience as a lab assistant, research assistant, or working in a molecular laboratory are encouraged to apply.

Required skills:
BA degree or higher in biology with 1-2 years PCR related bench experience.
Able to multi-task, to recognize trends and to pay attention to details.
Good pipette skills.
Able to work under pressure and keep up with a fast-paced environment.
Can handle a high volume of sample processing and the deadlines.
Works well in a team setting. Good interpersonal skills.
Can work with little to no supervision.
Has good judgement in troubleshooting sample or equipment issues.
Experience using Microsoft Excel and basic computer functions.
Have a high sense of responsibility and/or urgency.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.71 - $23.73 per hour
