Job Title: Next Step Gen2 Case Manager

FLSA Status: Full Time - non-exempt
Reports to: Director of Housing Now

Schedule: Monday - Friday
Supervises: N/A

Start Date: TBD

Rate of Pay: $26.97/hour

Benefits: Standard; Full-Time, Non-Exempt employees are eligible for but not limited to the following:

  • Health, vision, dental, life as well as voluntary life and disability insurance
  • Sick leave benefit – 1 day per month, 12 sick days per year (accrual and availability begins at hire)
  • Vacation benefit – 10 vacation days per year, accrued at the rate of .0385 hours for each hour worked, excluding overtime (accrual begins at hire but may not be used until the completion of six months of employment)
  • One floating day off for use (accrued immediately, and again annually, but may not be used until the completion of the initial three-month introductory period of employment)
  • Pension Plan (after one year of continuous service)
  • Voluntary Tax-Deferred Annuity Plan (403(b)plan)

Function: Support households who are at risk of homeless and help them become stably housed! Core activities will include ongoing case management services for participating families and older adults which includes assessments, identifying and administering appropriate financial interventions, referrals to community resources (clothing, food and other emergency assistances), and regular family case management meetings including home visits as needed. The Case Manager will liaise with Adams County school districts, The connection Center of The Salvation Army, various family shelters, supportive and transitional housing agencies in the Denver Metro community on behalf of participants. This position works closely with all members of the Housing Now team.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrated history of providing professional, effective programming with children and families
  • Ability to complete timely and detailed documentation (including assessments)
  • Ability to use professional discretion to determine appropriate interventions
  • Desire to serve others by building on their strengths
  • Strong skills in customer service
  • Competent in working independently within clear parameters in a team environment
  • Bi-lingual (preferred)
  • Successfully pass background check
  • Possess driver’s license and clean driving record, appropriate insurance and able to use personal car for work
  • Internal PTM training within first three months of employment

Qualification and Education Requirements:

Master’s degree in social work (MSW), preferred, Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Pubic Health or a related field required. Two years’ work experience with homeless populations, preferably with families in crisis. Experience with case management required.
