About Us:
Dojo Networks specializes in providing fully managed Internet and WiFi service to apartment communities. We are a rapidly growing State College, PA - based company seeking additional technical staff to help us build/maintain our high-performance networks and provide very responsive customer support.
About the Position:
Working in a fast-paced environment, the successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills; the ability to analyze and solve problems; exceptional attention to detail and be a highly organized self-starter who handles challenges, volumes of work, and pressure well. Your day will always include some variety of both tasks and location. Work can occur in our State College office or at our customer locations. The Network Technician will report to the Technical Support Manager and assist the Network Engineering team with new deployments and ongoing maintenance. The primary focus will be on maintaining a data network that provides wired and Wifi connectivity to the end-users.
Primary Responsibilities:
Available to assist with office network or hardware issues.
Assist with customers wired and wireless connectivity issues.
Provide direct support to Internet users.
Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
Monitor and respond to network performance alarms.
Keep documentation updated as network changes are made.
Respond to customer tickets in a timely manner.
Monitor system performance and customer escalations.
Interact with the end users to identify any potential concerns.
Interface with management provided network resources and act as a hands-on site for office network issues.
Local travel in the central PA region and after-hours support is required on rotating schedule
Dispatch if problem or issue requires onsite support/resolution
Minimum Qualifications:
Exposure to networking concepts and environments
Strong computer skills and a quick learner
Good with basic hand-tools
Strong attention to detail
Strong Interpersonal and customer service skill
Ability to self-motivate and work independently out of a company vehicle.
Knowledge of troubleshooting principles
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to perform well in a team environment, including the accurate transfer of information and task hand-off
Willingness to analyze and report issues and solutions to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness
Possess a strong background in customer care
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Ability to travel to neighboring cities
US Citizen, non-felon and ongoing background checks required
Pluses:
Prior IT Helpdesk experience
Ability to terminate CAT 5/6 and or Fiber
Compensation and Benefits:
Full or Part-time position: wages commensurate with experience
