POSITION SUMMARY
Earl Enterprise is looking for an experienced IT professional to support and maintain the networking environment by designing system configuration, directing system installation and defining, documenting and enforcing system standards. We are looking for a motivated professional that can design and implement new solutions and improve resilience of the current environment. We need a Network Engineer that is mindful of the wholistic security of our environment and ensures the brands are in line with compliance needs such as PCI.

This is a multi-brand organization that requires clear and effective communication to Sr. Management on status and security of the Enterprises network and infrastructure. The ability to develop and maintain strong written documentation of process and procedures applied.

We are looking for a motivated and driven individual that can support not only the end user base but the IT team with bringing new and innovative solutions identified in the IT space.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

• Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks
• Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP
• Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources.
• Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security
• Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
• Arranging and communicating scheduled upgrades
• Ensuring and updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases
• Clearly and effectively reporting network status to Sr. Management

SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT field preferred (or related work experience)
• Network security experience required
• Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches, controllers.
• Expert within a Windows based environment
• Experience with Active Directory required
• Experience in a restaurant industry is a plus
