Title: National Patient Safety and Medical Quality Management Director

Location: San Antonio, Tx

Job Summary:

The National Patient Safety and Medical Quality Management Director primary responsibility is to improve patient care, patient safety, and patient outcomes, and works to make policy and process improvements to promote healthcare at the highest level. Manages and implements the Safety and Quality management and quality improvement programs for large, geographically dispersed healthcare program.

The National Patient Safety and Medical Quality Management Director works collaboratively with all department leaders to ensure continuous readiness and compliance with all accrediting bodies and regulatory agencies, across the organization. This includes Joint Commission standards, Healthcare Facility Accreditation Program standards, and CMS Conditions of Participation.

Reports to:

• National Program Director

Principle Accountabilities:

• Develops and implements the internal quality measures and initiatives
• Tracking and reporting of clinical outcomes, and follow-up of corrective action plans
• Responsible for developing methods for data collection
• Participates in staff meetings
• Addressing issues about the quality of services
• Guiding best practices to organizational staff
• Developing programs and initiatives that promote quality
• Training staff as necessary on quality assurance initiatives

Qualifications:

• 5-10 years of Quality Management and Patient Safety experience;
• Demonstrate a high degree of leadership, motivation, self-direction, and initiative to achieve goals of the mission; self-motivated, able to work independently and stay organized; and
• Demonstrate the ability to collaborate with stakeholders.

Compensation:

• Full-time employee, W-2 status

Physical Requirements:

• Able to bend, stand and sit for extended periods of time.
• Able to reach to retrieve documents.
• Able to carry materials and/or file boxes up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to travel long distances.
