Description:Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control is seeking a Multi-Functional Quality Manager for a position in Troy, AL providing Quality Leadership within the THAAD business area at Pike County Operations (PCO). The successful candidate will be responsible for leadership and coaching of quality personnel (engineers, analysts, inspectors, etc.) assigned to THAAD interceptor production and post production program areas.

The successful candidate will be responsible for quality personnel recruitment, selection, training, coaching, performance assessment, salary, recognition, and disciplinary actions. They will allocate resources and work assignments across the program and establish/maintain an effective business rhythm.

They will ensure compliance to and communication of Quality Management Systems to include MFC Quality Standards, THAAD Quality Assurance Program Plan, and the Missile Defense Agency Assurance Plan. They will actively engage in the risk and opportunity management process, and ensure cost commitments and financial responsibilities related to quality are well managed. They will ensure appropriate identification and flow down of quality requirements (internal and contractual) and their effective implementation. They will also ensure effective identification, implementation, and management of a metrics program and actively address adverse trends. Finally, they will ensure product acceptance and delivery per established process and program requirements.

This candidate will be a direct interface with customer base (MDA, TPO, DCMA) on Quality topics, issues, concerns and/or complaints and therefore will need to possess exceptional communication skills and the ability to work through difficult situations.

Troy, Alabama is located in the East Gulf Coastal Plains region of southeastern Alabama. Troy's climate is typical of areas along the Gulf of Mexico in that it has hot, humid summers and mild winters.

Where can you get to from Troy? Our facility in Troy is just under an hour south of Montgomery, Alabama. Troy is about 2.5 hours north of the Gulf of Mexico and Fort Walton Beach and Florida's Pan Handle. Troy is about three hours from Atlanta, GA
Basic Qualifications:
Appropriate degree from an accredited college, and/or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment

Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance. Lockheed Martin will assist candidate with obtaining at least an Interim Secret Clearance prior to starting.
Candidate must have THAAD product / program experience

Candidate must have experience working with Missile Defense Agency program requirements and THAAD Program Office

Working knowledge of Quality Engineering methods, processes, and tools

Experience with AS9100 Quality systems

Experienced in reading and interpreting drawings and standards

Candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives ("ATF") background check to obtain approval to be an "employee possessor" (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations. Failure to obtain and retain employee possessor status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment
Desired Skills:
Ten or more years of related experience

Experience in Six-Sigma green belt techniques and statistical process control methods

Previous Quality experience in an ordinance manufacturing environment

Ability to work with and around explosives
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
