Mobile Engineer with refrigeration experience needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Working under limited supervision when supporting assigned service calls, applies advanced skills to perform complex preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, building systems, and equipment within a geographical area/route potentially across multiple sites. Monitors building system operations and performance. Uses several trade skills such as welding, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating and cooling. Must be flexible on schedule.

Stays in sync with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.

Performs assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance. Finish all work order maintenance and repairs.

Reviews assigned work orders. Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair. Order materials and supplies to finish the tasks. Applies CMMS to handle work orders and track completion.

Lead repairs of buildings and installed systems to include: electrical, plumbing, kitchen equipment, refrigeration equipment for food storage, and HVAC/R.

Inspects new building systems for compliance with building codes including fire alarms, HVAC/R, refrigeration, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client.

Coordinates and inspects the work performed by outside contractors. Contracted work includes electrical, HVAC/R, plumbing, and refrigeration.

Maintains an energy management program to ensure measures are taken to operate all systems in the most efficient manner to keep operating costs at a minimum.

Maintains the building lighting system, including element and ballast repairs or replacements.

Performs furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed.

Performs welding, carpentry, furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed.

Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.

May serve as a mentor to other technicians.

Report and communicate every day all work activity via PDA device

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate work and assign tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

Refrigeration repair experience required.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of 4 years of related experience and/or trade school training.

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES

CFC Universal Certification Required

Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record with periodic checks

Possess necessary skills to functionally operate a "full size" van/truck

Licensure as the need arises by Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ)

Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor. Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees.

Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.

Ability to solve practical problems and look after a variety of concrete variables in situation where only limited standardization exists. Requires intermediate analytical skills.

Excellent social skills, including oral and written communications.

Uses computer and / or PDA for work order system, email, and training. Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook. Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders and ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

Decisions made with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Mobile Engineer position is $90,000 annually [or $43.26 per hour] and the maximum salary for the Mobile Engineer position is $95,000 annually [or $45.67 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
