Millwright Mechanic Job at Madden Industrial Craftsmen
We are seeking skilled Millwrights for the Tacoma area. Candidates must have 3 years of working on industrial machinery that would be related to: assembly lines, pumps, valves, etc. Primary responsivities would be: assembly and de-assembly of industrial machinery, installing, maintaining, upgrading, and fabricating machine and equipment in accordance to layout plans, blueprints, and other industrial drawings.
Shifts may vary based on location and pay is based on years of experience DOE.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of working on industrial machinery\refinery refurbishing, etc.
- Works within precise limits or standards of accuracy
- Understanding of lock out tag out procedures
- Makes informed decisions based on measurable information and diagrams
- Can perform a variety of duties which may change often, including operating machinery
- Physical requirements include and are not limited to: lifting 70+ lbs. consistently, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, lay for long periods of time
- Must be able to pass a drug screen, background check and possess a WA driver’s license
Scope of work\Typical Duties:
- Read and interrupt blue prints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
- Dismantle and re-assemble machinery and\or equipment using hand and power tools, pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Move machinery and\or equipment using: hoist, crane, dollies, forklift, and pallet jack, clamp truck, etc.
- Assembles and installs equipment: shafting, conveyors, and pumps, etc. using hand and power tools.
- Constructs foundations for machines, using building materials; wood, cement, and steel.
- Operate lathe or milling machine to grind, file and turn machine parts to specification.
- May perform fabrication and welding of stainless, mild steel and aluminum.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and lubricate machinery and equipment.

Pay: $33.00 - $36.00 per hour
